3D For You offers you the opportunity to buy PETG filament from Devil Design with a diameter of 1.75 mm and a weight of 1 kg, ensuring only positive emotions and experience from 3D printing.
PETG filament has excellent roundness and material uniformity throughout its length. Thanks to these parameters, it can be used with 3D printers that operate on FFF/FDM technology, allowing printing with 1.75 mm diameter filament and not restricted to proprietary filaments.
For printing convenience, PETG filament from DevilDesign comes on spools. The product is vacuum-packed along with a moisture absorber.
- Spool diameter: 200 mm;
- Spool thickness: 70 mm;
- Internal hole diameter of the spool: 52 mm;
- Weight of empty spool: 250-260 g.
Polyethylene Terephthalate Glycol (PETG) is a modified version of PET. The modification is achieved by adding glycol during the polymerization process. As a result of the modification, the molecular structure of the polymer becomes irregular, the plastic becomes more transparent, and the glass transition temperature is 88 °C (190.4 °F).
PETG is a stronger and more durable material. Overheating unmodified PET makes it cloudy and brittle. The addition of glycol in PETG prevents crystallization of the material and increases its plasticity. PETG is also characterized by increased impact resistance.
During its use as a material for 3D printing, PETG has gained a reputation as a plastic that combines the advantages of ABS and PLA.
PETG has increased heat resistance, mechanical strength, and impact resistance like ABS, while being as easy to print as PLA, as it has almost no shrinkage and is less prone to deformation and warping compared to ABS.
Additionally, this filament has excellent adhesion.

3D4U has been an official distributor of the Polish brand Devil Design products since 2015.

Properties of PETG Filament for 3D Printing
The unique properties of PETG allow it to dominate in 3D printing not only for creating amateur projects but also for professional prototyping in research and development departments of companies from almost all technological industries.
- High strength, flexibility, and impact resistance
- Ideal for producing mechanical parts due to high-impact resistance and durability
- Much more flexible than PLA, ABS, and even PET
- Not soluble
- Hydrophobic (does not absorb moisture)
- Recognized as safe for use with food products
- 3D printing temperature range is between 220 °C — 250 °C (428 °F — 482 °F)
- Heated platform is not required but recommended. Platform temperature — 70 °C — 80 °C (158 °F — 176 °F)
- The material is practically not subject to shrinkage when cooling
- 3D printing difficulty – medium
Although PETG filament for 3D printing is hydrophobic, it is recommended to store it in a dry place in packaging with a moisture absorber.

FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions) about PETG
PETG is strong, flexible, and recyclable. It's not brittle, doesn't warp, has a low shrinkage rate, and can be printed on glass without using glue. It doesn't absorb water or moisture from the air.
PETG is one of the easiest plastics to print after PLA. PETG has a high glass transition temperature but is practically not subject to warping like ABS and is less likely to deform after cooling. In addition, it has good mechanical properties.
PETG starts to soften at temperatures around 80-85 °C (176-185 °F). This means it shouldn't be used in projects where parts are exposed to temperatures >80 °C (176 °F); otherwise it may deform or melt.
PETG has excellent adhesion and in most cases does not cause problems with sticking to the 3D printer bed. The recommended platform temperature is 70 °C — 80 °C (158 °F - 176 °F). To improve adhesion, we recommend using the Spanish adhesive 3DLAC for open design printers or 3DLAC Plus for enclosed 3D printers.
PETG is less toxic when heated than most other 3D printing filaments. This makes PETG a good choice for customers looking for safe materials. However, it is recommended to work in a well-ventilated area and avoid inhaling fumes.
Most modern 3D printers can print with PETG. The printing temperature for PETG is 220 °C - 250 °C (428 °F - 482 °F). Before buying PETG, make sure your 3D printer is capable of heating the nozzle to this temperature. Furthermore, some 3D equipment developers restrict their printers from using third-party filaments. In this case, you are limited in your choice of filament.
If you use high-quality PETG filament and regularly maintain your 3D printer, you shouldn't worry about nozzle clogging. If, for some reason, it still happens, we advise you to check out our recommendations for cleaning nozzles: How to prevent PLA, ABS, PETG filament sticking to 3D printer nozzle.
Layer height primarily depends on the diameter of the nozzle used. PETG is an excellent material for 3D printing and has many advantages compared to other materials, but with incorrect print settings, a web of thin plastic threads (stringing) can form on finished products. Most beginners start printing with a layer of at least 0.2 mm, as this allows them to get good results and avoid nozzle clogging. With experience, you can move on to a 0.1 mm layer.
Speed parameters depend on your printer's capabilities and the requirements for the final result, but for beginners, the recommended print speed is 30-60 mm/s.
Retraction parameters (speed and length) will vary greatly depending on your printer. Unfortunately, there is no universal recipe suitable for all options. 3D printing enthusiasts have developed a number of test models for setting up your printer. We have collected them in this article.
